Mum treated us to a set of slate plates and coasters, after spotting them in a shop in Dundee. I've been drooling over them for months, after spying them in various restaurants, because they make the food look even more delicious.

I've received so many new books recently that we've had to move our cookbooks up to the bookcase in the dining room. It's quite inspiring being surrounded by the celebrity chefs in our kitchen.

We've been writing a wishlist of new recipes and dishes we want to try on our chalkboard and ticking them off as we go.

I attempted sweet potato burgers tonight, which were so simple to make and tasted great. Tom thinks they may have been the best veggie burgers he's ever had, but he's only been Pescetarian for a year, so what does he know?!
