  1. Checkin at The Deptford Project
    1. Edit

After a two hour bus ride to South East London we ended up at The Deptford Project. Hidden behind a few crazy market streets, The Deptford Project described itself as a “weekend creative industries market”.

    3. Edit

There was a train carriage which had been turned in to a cafe. It was really spacious inside but very busy. We were lucky enough to get a table.

    4. Edit

I had a super delicious quiche and Tom had a bacon roll. They also had stuffed butternut squashes which looked amazing! (It was really cheap too.)

    5. Edit

They lied about the carrot cake… but they had the awesome clock we want from Habitat and crazy macaroni lamps too.

    6. Edit

Afterwards we went for a look around the market, which was shutting up for the day. They'd had a silent outdoor cinema here a few months earlier and I'd love to come back for a movie next summer.

    7. Edit

We had a good chat with the Crafty Bitches, who told us all about the project and other good places to check out in the area. They had a cool bag made out of leather jackets and lots of awesome cushions, which they had made for the cinema. I also spotted a Morley’s fried chicken.

  2. Edit

The sun was setting as we caught the train back in to London.

  3. Checkin at Hay's Galleria
    1. Edit

We got off the train at London Bridge to grab something to make for dinner. There’s a really cool mechanical fountain in Hay's Galleria.

    2. Edit

London Bridge looked really pretty at sunset.

    3. Edit

We picked up a stir fry from M&S which gave us a chance to see how the building of The Shard, which will be the tallest building in London is coming along.

  4. Facebook Checkin at Japan Centre at 06 Nov 20:18
    1. Edit

We headed home for dinner and then @[61007783:Louise Blackwood] called wanting to go out, so we headed in to town and to the Japan Centre which is the coolest place ever. The magazines look amazing. I really wanted one, as they look like purikura (which we’re going to get snapped soon) but they cost £25 for an issue.

    2. Edit

I want to try all the sweets in the candy aisle but not the weird sweat drink.

  5. Facebook Checkin at 5th View at 06 Nov 20:44
    1. Edit

Afterwards we went to our new favorite bar, The 5th View (on the 5th floor of Waterstones) where Louise looked classy with champagne and chips. There were still fireworks going off from every corner of London.

    2. Edit

On the way out we had a little snoop through some books where we found the weirdest recipe for a “bum sandwich” which you sit on to squish flat. Combine a bum sandwich with the sweat drink and you’ve got a lunch to make you lose your appetite… ick.
