    My parents came over to stay last night, so this morning we headed out in search of breakfast. We spotted a cute cat along the way.

      We ended up at Toast in Marchmont, which Louise had recommended.

      It was really nice inside. I had a look through a copy of The Lady and spotted some chickens in knitted jumpers.

      Mum and I tried shots of sea-buckthorn, which is a berry that grows near the ocean in Scotland and is suppose to boost your immune system.

      I had the vegetarian breakfast which was delicious. Everyone's food looked so good and the display case was filled with amazing looking cakes. I think Toast may become a regular of ours.

    We then took a walk around Marchmont and got punnets of blueberries for 30p. The Meadows were blooming with pretty flowers.

      We then headed back to Morningside and went for tea at Falko, the German bakery.

      I had almond tea with milk which was really nice.
