My parents took us to Ratho today, which is just outside of Edinburgh.
I spotted a cute black satchel in the window of a school shop and had to get it. It only cost £29 and have a 20% discount. There were some pretty cute school dresses in the shop I would have been tempted by, if they had come in adult sizes.
We went for lunch at The Bridge Inn which had a lovely view over the canal.
I had the mushroom and butternut squash risotto which was so delicious.
After lunch, we walked down to the canal.
The cutest group of ducks ran up to us when we arrived.
They kept following us everywhere we went.
We'll have to come back with bread for them at some point.
We also went for a look around the graveyard.
There was a creepy Dracula style coffin-grave in the middle.
The moss was so green and the snowdrops were coming up already.
We then headed through to Edinburgh for the evening.
I tried a butterscotch and caramel latte in John Lewis and I was clearly the first person to have ever ordered it.
We then went to Cafe Royal for a drink in the glamourus Oyster Bar.
I had a tasty winter cinnamon cider.
We then went to the Crafters' Ceilidh upstairs at the Voodoo Rooms, where we got to meet some lovely bloggers.
