    We woke up in North Carolina this morning and drove up and over the state line in to Virginia, our 36th state of the trip.

    A lot of people take this drive to see the changing colours of the leaves. It was very picturesque.

    Our first stop was Richmond which is the state capitol.

      We went for lunch at the 821 Cafe, which was very cool and very popular.

      They had Barbie tangled dreamcatchers on the wall which reminded me that Pocahontas came from Virginia.

      I ordered the vegetarian chicken parmesan pasta which was so convincing, I felt guilty for eating it and couldn't finish my meal. It just tasted too realistic.

    We then drove west through the Apilacian Mountains.

      We stopped for butter pecan coffee at Coffee On The Corner in Staunton, where the broadsheet newspapers came with handles.

    We spent the evening in Winchester where we were excited to find another Alamo Draft House, where we had dinner and went to see @[209402479080745:J Edgar], which was perfect preparation for out trip to the capital tomorrow.
