We got up early this morning and my Dad dropped us off at the train station.
We headed through to Edinburgh and met up with @[500941493:Jennifer Ann Smith] for our annual adventure day. She lives in Japan so we only get to meet up once a year, but it's always so much fun.
Our first stop was to @[512391479:Miquette Breitenbach] and @[512419078:Frazer Gibson]'s house to drop off Christmas presents and see their new baby Hazel. She was so cute and had the coolest clothes ever – we were really jealous. I accidentally kept calling her “it” and feeling really bad about it.
After we went to see Joey D in his shop. He was really nice as always and Tom got tempted by another jacket.
We then headed to Starbucks on Princess Street, where we hoping to get a nice view of the castle (it was really misty), to meet @[500274377:Loraine Ross]. We hadn’t seen her in years, so it was great to catch up and she brought me a copy of a burlesque magazine that she'd taken photos for.
We then treated ourselves to cupcakes from Bibi’s Cake Boutique. They were really nice, I had hazelnut latte flavour while Jenny had chocolate and chilli. We also liked their keep calm and have a cupcake poster.
We then headed to the Jekyl & Hyde pub for the Seven Deadly Sin cocktails and shots in test tubes.
We had burgers and I was glad I went for the veggie one because Jenny and Tom couldn't finish their meaty ones.
Jenny brought us some amazing presents from Japan including a crazy glitzy mag and macaroon keyrings for me and a paper Shikansen train model book and KitKat filled Shikansen for Tom.
We gave her a macaroon recipe book, a macaroon keyring that I’d made an an awesome music note necklace from @[680306324:Tatty Devine]. She was also wearing the top I made for her birthday too!
@[61005350:Ysolda Teague] joined us and she was hungry, so we headed to the Hard Rock Cafe so she could grab a bite to eat. It was really busy and loud, so we didn't stay long.
We then met up with @[100001207266200:Caoimhe McMillan] and went for a drink in the Wally Dug. We hadn’t seen her in nearly six years. Jenny impressed us all with her Japanese texting. There were loads and loads of emoticons precoded in to her iPhone.
Our last stop was Biblos where we had creme brulee before catching the train home.
