      This morning we took my parents to Henry Doorly Zoo.

      We started off in the Desert Dome which is just amazing.

      We went down in to the Creatures Of The Night to find the albino alligator in the swamp.

      The kids in front of me kept calling him a "philipino alligator" which was driving their parents mad.

      We then went through the jungle and Dad pretended to be Indiana Jones.

      We then had a quick look in the aquarium.

      We then went to see the big cats where we got to see a white lion.

      Next were the bears which Tom tried to imagine cuddling in bed.

      We then went to the petting zoo where Dad got to try milking a fake cow.

      Finally, we popped in to see the budgies before heading off.

      We had lunch at Blanc in Midtown.

      Mum and I had half and half of both types of the veggie burger, so I got to try the falafel and lentil one for the first time which was really nice.

      We also stopped for coffee and cake at delice where I tried a peanut butter pie.

      We then headed to The Bullet Hole shooting range which was the scariest place I've ever been to.

      I was curious what it would be like to fire a gun but now I find them even scarier than before. They're so loud and the cartridge hits you when it fires. My Mum waited in the car while we tried a few rounds.

      We got through three targets, one of which had zombies on which bled green paint when you shot them.

      I really hope that this is the first and last gun that I ever see.

      Afterwards we went to Urban Outfitters so that I could get Dad and Tom the iPhone gloves I'd wanted to get them last Christmas.

      There was a funny book about crazy people who had been caught on CCTV shopping in Walmart.

      We then went for frozen yogurt at Red Mango.

      Tom puts sweets on his side while I stick with fruit and nuts, so I kept complaining about finding gummy bears in my pumpkin.

      We then headed up to the Alpine Inn which is a biker bar and chicken restaurant.

      They throw their scraps outside so you can watch racoons scavenge while you eat.

      There were about a dozen racoons outside and another dozen little cats.

      I've never seen a racoon in the wild before but they're really adorable.

      We then went for a little bite to eat at Hollywood Diner.

    In the evening we took a horse and carriage ride around the Old Market and the park, which was the perfect way to spend our last night in Omaha. Our horse was called Thunder and the carriage was lit up so prettily.
