This weekend was perfect for Tom as it Railway Days, which cost $15 and let you explore five different railway museums in Omaha and Council Bluffs. We started at the Durham Museum where we took a yellow school bus over to Iowa.

Our first stop was the Union Pacific Railroad Museum where we were given Railroad Days temporary tattoos.

Our second stop was the Rails West Railroad Museum which was based inside an old passanger station.

There was a room filled entirely with a gigantic model railway.

We were going to have a drink in one of the bars until Tom noticed a bullet hole in the window.

We had a look around the small museum based inside the station and then went outside to look around the trains.

Our final stop was the Historic Dodge House.

It was a fancy old house with rooms decorated with antiques. There seemed to be a lot of emphasis on death and funerals.

Afterwards we went for a look around the town of Council Bluffs.

There were giant squirrels in the park.

We then got some cash out of a drive-through ATM which had a Dundee accent.

Instead we went for lunch at Ellie's Ice Cream Parlour.

I had a marbled tuna sandwich and a peanut butter milkshake which was amazing.

We headed back to Omaha and it was time to go to the Slowdown for the @[141638455903712:Omaha Girls Rock] showcase.

The place was packed and there were awesome handmade t-shirts and zines.

Orenda's band, The Jellybeans were on first and they had a lot of confidence.

The songs were really impressive for a week's work, I wish they'd have a rock camp for grown ups too.

After the showcase we had to rush back to the Nomad Lounge for the Emerging Designer Fashion Show. Megan had been given a private cabana and invited us to join her.
