Our usual coffee haunt was closed this morning so we headed to the 13th Street Coffee shop.

It was very cool inside and I tried their peanut butter cup iced latte which was delicious.

There were storm warnings but we decided to risk it and head out to Jimmy John's for a sandwich.

I tried the classic tuna which was really tasty and Tom ordered a gerkin which was the biggest I've ever seen.

Afterwards we went for a browse around Hollywood Candy.

The lady working in the store loved my neck tie bag and gave me a huge bag of free popcorn.

As we were leaving I spotted a guitar for $28 and decided to get it. It's so good having a guitar again!

There was a scary looking cloud brewing outside the window when we got in which I joked looked like the kind to have a tornado in.

Tom got a text to tell him that the tornado sirens had sounded and that everyone should evacuate to shelter.

It got dark very quickly and went cold. We took the stairs down to the ground floor where there were already people gathered in hall.

Lots of people had already gathered in the hall and we just watched as the doors swung on their hinges, cars moved a little bit and debris flew through the air. The stadium even had to be evacuated as their was a game on. The worst part of the storm only lasted for about 10 minutes but there was a big lightening storm after.
