We grabbed breakfast from Starbucks. The cake pops come in different flavours here. These two were tiramisu and birthday cake flavour.

We drank our coffee on Gene Leahy Mall, which is really pretty.

We also spotted our first red squirrel.

We then caught a bus out to Westroads Mall to buy a cell phone and I couldn't resist buying this dress in Forever 21.

Tom treated himself to a burger at Arby's but I still wasn't hungry after all the plane food.

It was then time to see our new apartment. First things first, there'a a gigantic gumball machine in the hall!

The part of the building we're living in use to be the Butternut Coffee company and they still have a giant weigh skill in the loby.

There's an amazing glass fronted elevator which takes you up through the building and there's a giant atrium with sofas, tables, trees and a fountain.

The best part of the building is the rooftop with a huge terrace, gym, community room, swimming pool and hot tub. And, of course, the amazing view over the city!

In the evening we went for dinner at Julio's Mexican restaurant in the Old Market.

We had frozen margaritas, delicious homemade nachos and fajitas. The vegetables came out sizzling with a gigantic plate of of toppings and tortilla bread on the side.

I ordered the small version which was still giant enough to make up four fajitas and left me full for days.

I loved this check tray. Make sure to read the writing around the rim.

There was a huge lightening storm later in the night. Tom was asleep but I had to wake him up because it was so scary. We watched it from our window.
