      Today we headed to China Town to meet up with the next cover star of Snippets…

      Beckii Cruel! She’s a fifteen year old from the Isle of Mann who’s mega famous in Japan for doing the Danjo dance on YouTube. We’d seen a documentary on her on BBC3 last year and thought she’d be perfect for our Japan Issue.

      We headed to Jen’s Cafe, where you can watch them making dumplings in the window.

      They were delicious! Beckii and her Dad joined us and we all had bubble tea, which Beckii hadn’t tried before.

      We then got some purikura photos taken. Beckii was an expert and used the Japanese machine which played crazily repetitive music. The lady in the shop got all star struck and asked her for a photo.

    Afterwards we headed home to make pancakes for dinner.

      In the evening we went to the Maida Vale Tweet Up at the Ebar, which is an underground bar near Warwick Avenue. We got to meet lots of interesting people, all of which worked in the tech industry and the famous Lord Elgin who tweets all the Maida Vale news.
