• It was the Notting Hill Carnival this weekend.
• 
• The parade route comes within a block of our house, so we woke to the bass of reggae music playing from the numerous sound systems set up in the streets.
• 
• We wandered down and it was like one huge street party. Everywhere was so crowded, it took us a long time to walk the few blocks.
• 
• Levi Roots had a huge queue outside of his stall. It smelled so good and he was singing and dancing.
• There were lots of pretty floats too and I wanted to join in the candy parade and dress up as a lollipop.
• 
• We bought cans of Red Stripe from somebody’s house window.
