This morning, Tom and I went to the Durham Museum, which is just over the bridge from our loft.
-
-
The museum is in the old Union Station and was absolutely amazing on the inside.
-
-
-
I wish this was still the train station, rather than the boring little shack that the Amtrak uses.
-
-
The exhibits were underneath the station, where the tracks use to be. They had lots of trains and trams with amazing old seats and beds in. It made us really want to go on another train adventure.
-
-
The museum was all about the history of Omaha.
-
-
-
We had lunch at the old fashioned soda fountain.
-
-
We tried a butterscotch milkshake which was really nice and a root beer phosphate - I still have no idea what this is ?!
-
-
I also had a pasta salad from Patrick's Market.
-
-
We then had a look around the rest of the exhibit was a collection of Pulitzer winning photographs. They were amazing though some were a little distressing and morbid.
-
-
Before leaving we picked some sweets from the Soda Fountain and had a look around the shop.
-
-
The Mary Janes were really yummy.

I really want to play Omaha-opoly!
