• We made it home just before the storm started, so we decided to go up to the roof and watch it from the Bat Cave (we think the community room looks like a supervillan's hideout at night with the view over the city).
• We'd bought a bottle of Californian champagne for $7 earlier, so we popped it open to drink during the storm.
• 
• When the rain stopped we headed out on to the roof to get a better view of the lightening.
