• By the time we got back to the station, they had announced that there would be a one-off train leaving shortly after. However, halfway to Glasgow, the driver stopped the train and announced that the track ahead was flooded so we needed to get off the train. After waiting nearly two hours for a bus that was promised , we gave up and took a taxi in to Glasgow, which had to be the most expensive taxi ever.

  • We sat in the original safe at the back, which had really thick walls and a door that could still lock.
  • To drink, I had a Sylvan Collins with gin, soda and grapefruit.
  • Tom had a smoked black bean beetroot cheese burger and I had sweet potato and feta fritters, topped with poached eggs and vegetable crisps. The food was so good.
