• Vicky and I were invited to a blogger event at Lush Livingston where we'd spend an evening making face masks, learning about beauty products, getting massages and receiving colour consultations.
  • We began by mixing the Cupcake face mask which looked exactly like chocolate pudding, tempting everyone to lick spoon.
  • It was so interesting to seeing what went into the mixture and I was surprised by how everyday the ingredients were. I almost had everything I need to make in our own kitchen.
  • We were then set free to play with samples while waiting for our consultations.
  • I found an amazing purple eyeliner and I didn't even know that Lush made make-up.
  • For the colour consultation, they asked us to close our eyes while they spun a table of colours. When we opened our eyes, we were asked to pick the first three colours that jumped out at us the most.
  • There were messages on the back of each colour which were to represent how we were feeling that day.
  • We were then treated to candy floss which turned into a drink when dissolved with water and arm massages. It was so relaxing and I was ready for bed afterwards.
  • Finally, we were given a tour of the rest of the products, stopping to smell soap, explode bath bombs and try different lotions on our skin.
  • One thing I was really glad to hear was that none of their products are testing on animals - instead they're actually tested on people from New Jersey but I'm not sure why.
  • These ones reminded me of something from Ghostbusters, but I had watched the film a couple of days earlier.
  • We were so sad when the night was finally over but things brightened up when we were each handed a goodie bag filled with Lush goodies in a Furoshiki wrapped scarf.
