It was the Degree Show at the Edinburgh College of Art this weekend so Tom, Mum and I went along to check it out.

-
I had always dreamed of going to art school here when I was little, as the studios have the most amazing view over the castle.
-
-
-
Our first stop was fashion & textiles where we were blown away by how creative the designs were.
-
-
-
Every design seemed so inspired and would look amazing on the stage or in a film. I really wanted a few of them for my wardrobe - especially the fairytale dresses.
-
-
-
My favourite was this children's TV inspired dress by Eilidh Bass, with a Magic Roundabout inspired skirt and pins on the top.
-
-
There was a Blue Peter badge on the top which reminded me that I still really want to earn one. Maybe I can do a make with "one I've made earlier" someday.
-
-
We then made our way through the maze of corridors to the fine art and installations.
-
-
-
-
I've been to a few degrees shows in the past, where I'd found a couple of things I liked, but I seemed to love everything at this one. Mum and Tom agreed!

There was a gorgeous jewelry collection by Li Wanshu that looked like sea urchins and lit up when you waved a UV torch over them.
-
-
-
I had to resist taking photos of absolutely everything or my camera would have ran out of battery, but it really was inspiration overload.
-
-
-
I saved the illustration section until the end, because I knew I'd pick up a million cards of artists I loved to feature on CO+K.
-
-

-
Mum treated me to this adorable print by Valpuri Karinen illustration for my cat art gallery wall as an early birthday present. Can you guess which cat I relate to the most?

Just as we were about to leave, someone pointed out a little back room filled with feathers under UV light.
-
-
At first, it looked like it was just an illusion but we realised that it was a huge installation as we made our way in to the room and walked among the feathers.
