• Eventually we arrived in Newcastle and after checking into our £20 a night hotel, it was time to explore and we couldn't resist heading to Byker Grove.

• The youth centre where the TV show was shot isn't actually in Byker and today, it's all boarded up and deserted. I imagined the ghost of Geoff walking the grounds, alongside PJ's eyesight.
• Just like one of the little scallywag Geordies from the show, Tom snuck through a hole in the fence to see it up close and it was super creepy.
