• There's a new hipster curry & beer bar in Leith called V Deep which opened this week and we were keen to try it out.

• It's owned by comedians Hardeep and Sanjeev and Tom didn't believe I was taking him to a celebrity restaurant until Hardeep popped up and asked us how our meals was.
• 
• We were served a tin of popadoms while we were waiting for our food and they were the tastiest ones I've ever had.
• 
• I ordered a beetroot and sweet potato curry while Tom tucked into rainbow trout. The food was so much fancier than I was expecting it would be and went perfectly with my cherry beer.
• The menu had lots of interesting sounding things, including Indian french toast for brunch and I can't wait to come back soon to try it.
